If you allow me
to use him in plural?
Him as he’s mine, but
do I belong to him or
is it him who possesses me?
Plural as in multiple coz
from my view I see
one, as from your
perspective we should determine
if it is the same you perceive.
- for the attentive reader,
we’re talking about shadows -
Influenced by backgrounds and soils
he’s wearing shades of grey (sic) (*)
or black and at nightfall
he tends to disappear.
Is he following me or do I
precede him?
His behavior tends to imitate,
he walks, runs, jumps, hangs,
he grows and shrinks as
in a dance, one step
to the left, one step
to the right.
What about his gender or
shall I say her?
I tend to see him as my
naked reflection but clearly
he loves to wear a hat
as I do.
Depending on my moods
I sometimes want to
trample or coddle
him, her, them, but it
does not seem to affect it
at all.
- noticed the change of pronoun?
sure you did! -
Once I’m in the spotlight
he multiplies himself as
a majestic plural…
We your shadow!
(*) the author is fully aware that the use of some expressions is maybe not done but in this case he blames those who suggest a different content to a very innocent color description
-
Good to see you're writing again! Big hug!
